SEBS: Nutritional Sciences - Undergraduate Research Discovery Sessions
Sue Shapses and Mackenzie Ferrante will give an overview of the research being conducted by the Nutritional Sciences Department. This will include everything from getting kids to eat their veggies to the gut microbiota to understanding how eating more walnuts can change your cholesterol. This session will focus on exciting research through the lifespan: 1. Nut behavioral research in young children and families (Dr. Ferrante) and clinical nutrition research on circadian rhythm, inflammation and bone health with aging (Dr. Shapses).
